Construction Hoist Inspection

Our inspection regime covers the installation process over the entire period of your construction project and can include:

Engineering reviews

We review your chosen supplier’s equipment and documentation prior to installation of the hoist as follows:

  • Check the engineering design of the hoist has been completed for your site and is appropriate

Commissioning inspections

We attend site on the day the construction hoist is commissioned to:

  • Witness all the appropriate checks have been completed correctly and signed off
  • Check the installation matches the engineered design drawings
  • Check all the componentry used in the installation meets the appropriate Australian Standards (AS1418.7 and AS2550.7)
  • Check the installation meets the manufacturers specifications
  • Check all the appropriate documentation has been supplied (commissioning reports, logbook, etc)
  • Check major mechanical inspections have been completed if the hoist is older than 10 years of age
  • Check major structural inspection have been completed if the hoist is older than 25 years of age

Half Height / Full Height inspections

We inspect the construction hoist when it has been installed to half/full height, supplying a report covering:

  • Floor by floor inspection from top to bottom checking installation meets the appropriate Australian Standards (AS1418.7 and AS2550.7)
  • Hoist car inspection checking it is in safe operable condition.
  • Paperwork inspection checking
    • The daily logbook has been completed as required
    • All level jumps were recorded and handed over correctly
    • Any breakdowns or faults were attended to appropriately

Monthly Inspections

We inspect all the hoists currently operating on your site on a monthly basis, checking the levels installed since our last inspection and supply a signoff per hoist covering the items identified that require attention. The inspection includes:

  • Floor by floor inspection of new floors installed checking installation meets the appropriate Australian Standards (AS1418.7 and AS2550.7)
  • Hoist car inspection checking it is in safe operable condition.
  • Paperwork inspection checking
    • The daily logbook has been completed as required
    • The monthly service has been completed as required
    • All level jumps were recorded and handed over correctly
    • Any breakdowns or faults were attended to appropriately
